Puitea is a young player who broke into the Indian Super League after delivering some good performances for Aizawl FC (2017-18), both on the international and domestic front. He came off age as one of the brightest prospects for Northeast United FC in the Indian Super League corroborated by his great debut season with the club. He was signed by Kerala Blasters FC in 2020 and was an integral part of the Blasters till mid 2022-23 season before moving to Kolkata (ATKMB) known as the mecca of Indian football.

Funny off the field, Puitea is known for making engaging content; be it learning and making videos in Malayalam or showing his boxing and guitar-playing skills to the world. Puitea has become a fan favorite and his social media presence has experienced exponential growth in followers and engagement over the past two seasons.
